Office Assistant / Receptionist

Mergermarket Group, London

Mergermarket Group is looking for an Office Assistant / Receptionist to provide an excellent Front of House service for the company headquarters in London and to assist the Office Manager with all daily tasks associated with running a large, busy office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting and greeting visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Control the main Switchboard, answering and directing calls appropriately
  • Providing full administrative support to the Office Manager for all office-wide events
  • Booking meetings, liaising with the Building Reception and Security teams to book in visitors
  • Office management tasks to include booking couriers, ordering stationery, controlling physical office environment and preparing refreshments for guests when appropriate
  • Control of two corporate flats for visiting international staff to include management of booking system, weekly cleaners and ad hoc maintenance requirements
  • Office/Reception housekeeping (ensuring that workspace, meeting rooms etc. are kept in a tidy and professional manner)
  • To be fully aware / compliant of company branding guidelines with basic product knowledge

  • Good telephone manner

  • Good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to continuously prioritise tasks to suit the Office Manager needs
  • Ability to work autonomously and take your own initiative
  • Experience working with confidential information
